Are You Finding the Good?

Are you asking God to direct your day . . . and then being okay with delays and interruptions?

When your day does not go as planned, are you finding the good . . .

good in the delays? good in the interruptions? good in the unplanned? good in the unexpected? good in the waiting?

I arrived earlier than usual for my doctor appointment - thinking I could be out of there sooner than usual. After waiting a few minutes, I was informed that the doctor was running at least an hour, maybe longer, behind schedule.

I had a choice to make. Would I sit there annoyed and agitated, getting myself all worked up and stressed out?

OR would I find the good . . . good in knowing God was directing my day. good in knowing God has a plan for ME. good in knowing my LOVING Heavenly Father knows what's best for ME.

Wow!! God BLESSED ME with an hour to sit and be quiet and think and reflect and write notes and journal and get myself mentally organized for some things that were taking place the following week. He gave me so much more than I could have asked for myself! How BEAUTIFUL is that! How peaceful and recharged I felt after this delay in my day!

God knew what I needed! Thank you Father!

“In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight." Proverbs 3:6
"And find out what pleases the Lord." Ephesians 5:10

Dear Lord, when our day does not go as WE had planned, help us to step back from the situation, and ask what YOU have planned for us. Amen
